ValueError: need more than 1 value to unpack

When trying to commit, I get the following error:

% hg commit --repository E:\hg\tc --verbose --user myusername --message=Fixed bug 263: enable "very_big_spread". -- E:\hg\tc\src/companies.cfg
transaction abort!
rollback completed
need more than 1 value to unpack
[command returned code 255 Wed Jan 16 19:01:01 2013]

    same here, when I try to compare two git branches on bitbucket I get blank page with message "need more than 1 value to unpack"
