Python 2.5 or higher, due to use of ElementTree from standard lib

http://code.google.com/p/httplib2/ Joe Gregorio's httplib2 library

http://www.djangoproject.com/ django.utils.http.urlquote_plus specifically, you may as well install all of Django

http://labix.org/python-dateutil Gustavo Niemeyer's dateutil library

http://chardet.feedparser.org/ Mark Pilgrim's character set detector library

If all goes well, the standard

python setup.py install

should do the trick. You will need to modify settings.py to accommodate your specific setup. If you want to watermark your images during ingest, you must supply a valid watermark image. I suggest your watermark image be a block of text "For access please contact..." in white with the background of the image set to transparent. Yes, a PNG is easiest for this.
