My wife and I both have iPods that are paired with the bluetooth soundsystem in my car. When we both get in, it's anyones guess as to which of us it chooses to listen to. Whilst we could mess around with controls on the car, it's easier just to disable Bluetooth on one of the iPods.
Which means launching settings, navigating to the main screen, selecting General, then Bluetooth, then toggling the switch.
This app addresses that issue. You launch it, it toggles the current setting from off to on (or on to off) and exits. Rather than waste time loading images, the application just sets the background colour of the entire window to let you know what is happening.
Blue - it has started up and is waiting to connect to the bluetooth framework
Green - the state has been toggled to ON
Red - the state has been toggled to OFF.
The Bluetooth icon in the status bar reflects the current on/off state.
Apple do not approve of this code. Whilst you are free to use this source to create your own applications, in all likelihood they will not be accepted into the App Store due to two things:
1. It links against a private framework
1. It deliberately terminates itself (via [UIApplication suspend])
Don't complain to me about this. I can't change it without losing the applications usefulness.
Don't complain to Apple about this. They won't listen.
If you want this tool, you will have to compile a copy for yourself. Apple don't prevent you from running your own applications that link against private frameworks, or break other rules. They just don't allow you to *sell* them.
Also note that I can't guarantee that the Mobile Bluetooth.framework will remain accessible in future releases of iOS. If Apple decide it needs to go, then this app will stop working.
