Buttons overly senisitive?

Bascially, when I press the "o" button to advance conversation, it rapidly skips past 3 to 4 conversation text blocks, as if Im holding down the button instead of taping it. Also, in the main menu when I try to scroll up or down, no matter if I use the D pad or analog, the menu spazzes out and the selection bar moves as if Im holding down an arrow button, moving rapidly up/down the menu for about 3 seconds before stopping at a random selection on the main menu. Any help would be greatly, greatly appreciated. I love this game, and Im so thankful for a translation, but with the glitch im currently experiencing its boderline unplayable.

I don't think it is directly related to the patch. Most likely a hardware/firmware issue. The game works fine on a PSP-1000 6.60ME-1.8

• EDIT* I feel really dumb now, but apparently this particular patch doesnt gel with Joy-sense, which is a mod to enhance the analog movements. I apologize for posting a error report, but at the time I honestly didnt think about having it installed. After I read what you posted above, it got me to think about my PSP's software, and then I checked and remembered I had Joysense installed. So, thanks for replying, and sorry about taking time for something so simple. Thanks again for the translation, too.
