Channels modding

That said, it would only benefit people who plan on making custom TV channels for TS3/TS4. Yes, I believe S4S could make channels modding possible for TS3 as well. It's only the Compression we need.

I haven't really investigated other ways to convert something to VP6, or an alternative to VP6, that the game(s) would recognize. As for the codec itself, here is a series of links. I promise their not the usual redirect to avoid explaining them myself:

http://www.virtualdub.org/ - The Author's explanation of VDub's birth, and it's function, basically. http://virtualdub.sourceforge.net/ - A list of VDub builds, and changes/fixes http://sourceforge.net/projects/virtualdub/ - Brief explanation of VDub, and it's download page, on good ol' SourceForge. http://forum.videohelp.com/threads/284261-Vp6-enconding - Someone asking how to save as VP6 got an answer here. http://www.free-codecs.com/download/VP6.htm - The actual download. You can find VP6 on other sites. Use THIS one! Others look unsafe.

I haven't exactly downloaded and studied it's code, so I can't offer any insight as to how to make such a thing, but incorporating a codec to give S4S a new compression option should certainly be possible. I mentioned VDub so much because they have done just that; incorporated VP6 compatibility to the program. However, in their case, it's pretty much necessary. For S4S, it would really just be an addon, to make Sims 3/4 modding more broad. No more need to make the same failed attempt I made at saving the video files in VP6. If it was part of S4S, it would be the only way I know of to save a video so it can be used in TS3/4.
