ItsyBitsy 32u4 8MHz 3.3V not allowing config

When connecting this itsybitsy, it will allow me to create the automaton, but when I click configure it just sits there and nothing shows up. I have an Itsybitsy 32u4 16MHz 5V that works fine. Does it need to be the 16MHz 5V variant of the itsybitsy to work? (Version 1.6 (11641))
