Set Variable/machine name from Curl response

Hi there,

This is a nice to have, your software is already doing so many great things for us. That being said, it would be great if we could set a variable or set the machine name to the response of a curl request. The curl request would need to be able to supply part of the system info such as serial number or mac address to make this work properly.

I know that DeployStudio had a way to do this. I could set up a service in MDS and it could call back to it to get a variable, but you could also point it to an external system as well. That would be super convenient.

It could also be done using a bash script, but just thought I’d toss the idea out there.
