Users with no Password

Users created with no password are requiring a password upon login. Build 20048.

This recently occured after implementation of the User Account Picture.

I think, this is not related to MDS. I’ve seen this several times when upgrading macOS. Every account which had no password were asking for one after the upgrade. This happened on upgrades and also on transfer to another Mac via Migration Assistant. The only way to solve was using another local admin account to set a new password for these accounts.

dave, can you verify this if this is happening? I seem to remember it being a regression that was fixed.

Tested build 20091 and performed as expected. Ran a workflow that adds a user account with no password, but does not install macOS and does not include any other options. User account was created and allowed user to log in without password.
