Scripts not running when using DMG

I am using Version 2.1 to deploy using a DMG file created using AutoDMG on an MacBook Air with the T2 chip. The MDS hangs at the very end. I get the spinning pinwheel. I let it go for over 5 minutes and never finished. When I restart, it makes me choose a startup disk and then it books correctly with all the apps installed into the DMG file, but did not run any of the scripts.
