If you update the configuration, and then reopen configuration the version # will display as 0

I saw this too. Looks like it sometimes shows old info if "Configure Automaton" is opened a second time while leaving automaton plugged in. Mine also showed the checkbox for "Type firmware password" unchecked, which was the previous state. When sheet was closed and reopened again while leaving automaton plugged in, firmware checkbox then showed correct value. Doesn't appear to happen if automaton is plugged in after sheet is open.
