Create Bootable Volume - Target Volume Dropdown

Issue #431 new
Joseph Koch created an issue

When plugging in a USB Volume with the Create Bootable Volume Screen open, the Target Volume drop down doesn’t automatically detect new Volumes plugged in. Exiting the window and reopening shows the new volume.

Joseph, This may not be in Tim’s control since his program has given control to the Finder to process the “Open Folder” call function. Unless there is a “call back” option to pass control back to MDS when a new device is detected. But then how would that work? You already check the button to “Create Bootable Volume”, the dialog box is open, you plug in a drive, control is passed back to MDS, can he “cancel/close” the previous “Open” request, that dialog window goes away, he redoes the “Open Folder” call function. I don’t see that happening. but then, I’m not down in the weeds like Tim is……

    Tim, any comments????????

Need to rework the bootable volume window. I can definitely listen for disk mount events. Slating to for upcoming release.
