Install Packages & Run Scripts From Booted Volume
A great addition to MDS would be to have a postponed install on first boot like DeployStudio allows. Installing packages from the booted volume would allow certain packages to be installed that can’t otherwise be installed. For instance, Safari and GarageBand instruments and loops.

reporter I am trying to install software that must be installed from the booted Mac (not a temp partition, USB drive, or network volume). Specifically, I am trying to install GarageBand content. When I use DeployStudio, I can postpone installation until the netbooted Mac reboots to macOS on the internal drive. Can this even be done on more recent versions of macOS? I will attempt to create a workflow that will do what I am trying to do, but I don’t think it will work. Perhaps MDS boots to a temp volume on the internal drive?

Isn’t this handled by the “first boot” or “first login” options for resource installation?
