Option to run remote logging in the background

It seems whenever I run MDS workflows, I never remember to go in and turn on Remote Log Viewer so I end up missing some portion of the logged data. It’d be nice if I could flip a switch in MDS that would leave the log collection running in the background, and then just open MDS and look at it in the viewer when I’m interested in it.

can you explain a bit more? Do you mean the message that get printed in terminal or in /var/log/install.log in recovery? not sure where i could save it to.

I mean the Deployment → Remote Log Viewer when machines log their status of going through a workflow back to the machine running MDS. I never remember to start MDS and run the Remove Log Viewer to capture that information, and it always seems to default to off even when I do have MDS open.

i get it. So make it like every other service where it runs on and runs in the background.
