Profiles tool no longer supports installs
Hello,
I tried to deploy a Google Chrome profile through MDS Version 4.3 (48098) and in install.log I get the following:
2022-04-27 08:25:27-07 MacBook-Pro package_script_service[397]: ./postinstall: installing profile ./100-com.google.Chrome.mobileconfig:profile
2022-04-27 08:25:27-07 MacBook-Pro package_script_service[397]: ./postinstall: profiles tool no longer supports installs. Use System Preferences Profiles to add configuration profiles.
I couldn’t find another reference to this error in the project issues and the user guide doesn’t suggest that this functionality is no longer available.
I was installing onto an M1 MacBook Pro (14-inch, 2021) running MacOS Monterey 12.2.1.
I’ve manually installed the profile, so it’s not the end of the world, but wanted to raise the issue.
