Font Size limitation

When the widget is 2x1 the fonts are too small if I stretch it to 2x2 the font is bigger but the entire bottom of the widget is empty space. The 4x2 widget doesn't work at all when I drag it to the desktop it just disappears. Google Pixel running 9.0
