Amazon Firetv Selecting External PLayer

on my amazon fire tv,I Am unable to select external player, when i click on the last option gives me the portal right away, doesnt let me choose.

    i ask for that option, because on my computer i have bluestacks running, and i have selected Mx player withing the Stb EMu, and my VOD service is working like a charm, on the fire tv i have installed vlc.and if i check the about its running vlc plugin, and its crashing, click on it and it stays on a black screen, really not reliable.doesnt load at all and freezes when loading the movie than reboots the stb emu

    someone just gave me the how to. you press on the menu button on aftv remote to bring up those options including subtitle ect. now its working flawlessly with mx player
