android 5.1 issue

each time i close stb emulator on any device running android 5.1 or 5.1.1 and then re-open it, the channel list remains blank, and i cannot view live tv. i have to quit stb emulator and clear cache, and sometimes i have to close stb emulator, clear app cache and reboot the device, before i can run stb emulator again.

this happens regardless of the media player chosen.

any suggestions? is this a known issue?
