Exam Results for Students

Issue #95 resolved
Camden Bruno created an issue

Good morning,

At ZBW we have had a test corrections system in place for 10+ years at this point. With the old site, when a student passed their exam, they were able to navigate to their exam results and see the question, the "Correct Answer", and the "Users Answer". Our students would then copy that information and find a source to prove that the "Correct Answer" is indeed correct.

I understand multiple facilities have requested the correct answer not be displayed. Therefore, I am proposing that the "Users Answer" be displayed, along with all of the other original options. That way, it does not give away the correct answer, but still enables us to complete test corrections. Otherwise, our students have no way of knowing what their other options were/are.

Thank you,

    Hi Daniel,

Just out of curiosity, any updates with this?

    Thank you and Happy Thanksgiving!

AW, status please? I consider this a breakage, and priority for this issue is higher than the new Support Center.

I don't consider it breakage. It requires a full rewrite of the exam system and a good way to implement while keeping what people want isn't something that comes straight away. I'm not a duct tape person and don't want to leave you with what you guys had before. Once I can do it right and have a way to not lose data, I'll get to work on it. The solution I had was going to require a loss of data. I started working on support center to have movement, otherwise I'd do nothing until I find the solution that works.

We lost existing functionality. It is affecting multiple facilities. I’m getting more complaints.

    Appreciate what you can do.

Hi, I've got a follow up here. I've taken 5 tests so far and I still can't access some of them more recent ones. I get the default Laravel "Whoops, looks like something went wrong." error when accessing tests 48502, 48510 and 48512 from 11/28/16 and 11/29/16. However I can access 27060 and 42253 from 6/10/15 and 6/13/15.

If it has something to do with the dates when the exams were taken, please let me know.

You still can't? This was never reported and unrelated to this. Please open a separate issue.

Looks like it started working just now. In that case I won't be creating another issue. Thanks for the reply.
