    Dear Andrew,

    Thanks for your concern regarding vera++.

    I don't know if it answers your use case but maybe you don't have the following information. I am the maintainer of vera++ on debian. I have recently uploaded the last version of vera++ to unstable. Thus it has been automatically added to the Trusty Tahr repositories of ubuntu:

    https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/vera++

    Maybe you can use this repository in order to get the last version of vera++?

    Moreover the package may transit to debian testing tomorrow since it will be 10 days old. I guess there will be a transition on the ubuntu side too. Maybe in The Saucy Salamander. Yet I don't know the full process between debian and ubuntu. I have been in touch with a person who had done a ppa for vera++ in the past. Maybe you can get in touch with him too. That person told me that he was satisfied with the Trusty Tahr version. You can find him at:

    https://launchpad.net/~smspillaz/+archive/verapp-latest

    (the version of vera++ on the above ppa is older than the one in Trusty Tahr)

    Best regards,

    @ThArGos Oh, that is quite excellent! Thanks for doing this!

    I'm stuck on old 12.04 Precise, unfortunately, but maybe we can get this into backports someday.

    Indeed your version is quite old and even with a ppa, your setup may not meet the minimal required versions. Since vera++ is now packaged in ubuntu, I think we may close this issue.

    I suggest you ask a person who better knows the ppa process like Sam Spilsbury (https://launchpad.net/~smspillaz/+archive/verapp-latest) in order to have a custom package for 12.04.

    Sorry I can't do more regarding this. Best regards
