as of 1.0.1 version released today it is added to the descripton what issue it has been merged into. Thanks to the inherit jira feature it add link to the issue number. The linking is not implemented as "issue link" yet.

Good idea. I think the best form to display this kind of association is to link two issues with a specified link type .
