The merged text doesn`t show up properly
This is the result of merging an issue named DRIFT-150 into DRIFT-143. This doesnlook right to me. In the example below, I
ve copied in the text that appeared in Description after merging. Is this a bug, or am I doing something wrong?
Issue: DRIFT-143 Description: {panel:borderStyle=solid|bgColor=#FFFFCE}Merged from DRIFT-150 - 8{panel}dfgdsfgdsfg
Issue: DRIFT-150 Description: {panel:borderStyle=solid|bgColor=#FFFFCE}h1. Merged to DRIFT-143{panel}
Version: 1.0.1-JIRA4

Actually i have assumed that the wiki renderer is active for the description field as it is the default. In your JIRA it switched to Text renderer at least for the description. For more details about the renderers pls. see http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Renderers. This assumption may be changed later introducing templates for the merge text.

reporter Thanks. I just added a custom Field Scheme,with my own Field Configuration and changed the Description field to Wiki Style Renderer. That works for me.

My field Description has the Default text render assigned, and JIRA 5.0.6 is still, displaying incorrect merge Description values.

As it can be seen in the documentation http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Configuring+Renderers the default renderer for the Description is the wiki renderer. In the name of the renderer the "Default" means that it is a text renderer shipped with Jira. Other plugins are allowed to provide other type of renderers even other type of text renderer. May be it is misleading. If you change it back to Wiki renderer at Administration > Issues > Fields > Field Configurations it will show you correctly. https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRA/Specifying+Field+Behaviour
