License Unknown and outdated information for PHP/prologue:alerts/0.4.0

Issue #335 resolved
Shitiz Garg created an issue

The repository has a license.md file specifying "The MIT License" (Link to Repository and Link to VersionEye page). The information for the package itself is outdated with the latest version being listed as 0.3.0 instead of 0.4.0, I am guessing it wasn't updated properly? Can it be fixed or can someone guide me how can I get it fixed?

Thank you!

PS: It's not my repository, I am simply using the library for my project.

Hi @Dragooon. The version 0.4.0 is not in the VersionEye database. That's why the license is missing. I will double check the crawler why this version is missing.

The VersionEye Packagist crawler is checking that each version has a corresponding tag on GitHub. Some versions are relating to branches. This branch versions are showing up on Packagist but are excluded on VersionEye. The method which is checking the tag existens did not handle the 301 response code. That was fixed with this commit: https://github.com/versioneye/crawl_r/commit/9b9a1c29b8784b4b4cc3ae5986886a73bf41f7d1. And now version 0.4.0 is available on VersionEye as well with correct license ;-) https://www.versioneye.com/php/prologue:alerts/0.4.0
