Broken rendering for team notifications email in portrait mode

I am using the Gmail mobile website to check my emails. I noticed that the Team notifications email does not render correctly in portrait mode. As shown in the following screenshot the columns of the table collapses to one character width which makes the content unreadable.

It would be great if the CSS for the email could be fixed. The min-width CSS property might be useful to adjust the column widths.

Meanwhile, one can rotate the device as a workaround. In landscape mode the website renders correctly as shown in the second screenshot.
