Automatically enable Gravatar for all users

Issue #9 new

I admin a Confluence installation with a large userbase, and I'd like to switch Gravatars on for all users at once, rather than having to ask each user to switch it on themselves.

Actually, that is what I thought this plug in did when I installed it. I second the request.

It's amazing that this 1) isn't included in Confluence out of the box, and 2) that this functionality isn't included in this add-on. It just seems like it would be common sense.

This would be great feature, we could connect Confluence to gravatar server similar to the rest of the Atlassian apps. No additional actions from users needed.

Unfortunately Gravatar cannot be used in Confluence as it was intended to due to technical limitations. Every image needs to be imported as a Confluence attachment in order to work properly. And this makes it hard to implement such a switch. I don't say it is impossible, but somebody needs to implement it.

It is possible to set up some periodical job to get Gravatar images and set them as local avatars (attachements)?

Admin should be able to disable possibility to change avatar for all users then.
