We could do with a map showing where the player is in the universe. I'm thinking a 2D side-on view might work, but not sure if it'd be too cluttered.
The main thing needed here is the current location and target. Subtly showing where the player is on the enemies vs debris scale would probably also help.

The enemies vs debris bit is rather three-dimensional... but I could create a little spinny overview model in the corner of the sphere menu, maybe, which would spin on its vertical axis?
