Virtual reality switch is set to on by default

Shouldn't the game ask the user about this somehow, before it initializes on the first run, telling them how to configure it later? Currently I think it should be by default off.

No. Virtual reality players who have the headset enabled, turned on and are running steamvr at the time will expect VR titles to launch in VR mode, not have to be restarted just to perform the same as all their other VR games.
