Updating hung system and slowed down jira

Hi when I updated the plugin from 2.1 - 2.2 the system resources (mostly CPU) maxed out bringing Jira down to a crawl. I'm not sure if this is a known issue but the only way I was able to resolve the issue was to uninstalling the plugin and then restarting jira.
