When I use the "Assign" option in JIRA - with jira-threaded-comments installed - get extra notification email with incorrect attribution
With this add-in installed, when a user clicks on Assign, two emails are sent out. One email is accurate, the second email attributes the action to the wrong person. We shouldn't be getting a 2nd email at all and certainly not one that is incorrect.
I'm attaching a picture.
Karla Russell assigned the issue to Test UserFor Karla, not Ryan Hammond.
I have no idea why this plugin would cause this problem, but it does. When I remove this plugin the problem goes away. When I add the plugin the problem immediately shows up again.

reporter Trust me, it makes no sense to me why removing this add-on would fix our problem. I went searching for listeners and found a script listener that fires an Issue Assigned event when an issue is updated. That appears to be the culprit. Tho I don't know why it has the wrong person as having done the action. I also don't know why the 2nd email stops going out when I remove this add-on. But it is highly repeatable. Nonetheless, feel free to close this. Thank you for your quick response!

I can assure you @di2esysadmin that this is not from this plugin. Can you check if you have any other plugin or any workflow post functions causing this update? (or any external webhooks triggering an update)
