Support events on reply

Default comments in JIRA seem to send some sort of events so that f.e. the "Email This Issue" add-on is able to send E-Mails when a new comment has been written. When writing a reply using this add-on, no E-Mail is sent because of a missing event. Can this be added to this add-on?

Hmm I see mails on replays. Is this still a Issue? What versions of Jira and this plugin do use?
