@vrenjith , this is a significant bug. Can you investigate?
-
repo owner I am not having any bandwidth to spend time on this while I would love to. I am only releasing versions to support new jira versions or if someone sends me a pull request.
If you have any fix available so send a PR and I can merge and release.
Regards, Renjith

It still does not work. I have just upgraded to 1.22 and additionally remove old plugin from cache and restart jira. I am using Jira Software v7.5.3
-
reporter Can you check if there is only one "*threaded-comments*.jar" in /var/atlassian/application-data/jira/plugins/installed-plugins (for standalone isntallations)? Have you try to clear your browser cache?
I will check it with Jira 7.5.3, too.
-
reporter @akdpwr Can please do the checks from above? I've tested it on a fresh Jira Software v7.5.3 with The Plugin from the marktplace and works like a charm.
Can you please check that "Manage add-ons" reports "6 of 6 modules enabled"? See Screenshot:
-
[14:57] [root@jira:/opt/jira-home/plugins/installed-plugins]
ls -al thread
-rw-rw-r--+ 1 jira jira 231329 Apr 6 20:58 plugin.3662326209208878789.threaded-comments-1.22.jar
-
I have also removed all the files in plugins/.osgi-plugins and plugins/.bundles-plugins. Nothing helps. I am using newest firefox.
-
I've:
- checked that I only have one "threaded-comments.jar" file installed
- cleared the browser history
- checked that "Manage add-ons" reports "6 of 6 modules enabled"
With version 7.7.1 of Jira and 1.22 of the plugin, @mentions is still not working for threaded comments.
-
reporter The same test succeeded with Jira 7.3.1 and Jira 7.2.0.
For Jira before 7.2.0, there are indeed some limitation. Jira 7.2.0 was the first version with the Wikieditor.
@vrenjith Pull Request #8 updates the README.md

reporter @doncarlos @akdpwr
Just to be sure, it works for the normal comments?
-
Yes, it does.
-
I've just uninstalled the plugin and then reinstalled it but, that didn't solve the problem.
-
reporter That's strange. At least on a clean installed Jira software 7.7.1 it works ...
-
I don't know if this helps but, as a workaround it does work if you use:
[~user.name]
-
reporter Do you have an instance with a test-project? So i can take a look directly on your system?
I am out of ideas ...
I've done several tests, all works like a charm ... I've not just tested clean installs, one instance was updated regularly starting with Jira 5 (updated to 7.8.2 now).
-
Yes, how would you like to do this?
-
reporter Mail the access data to (mail removed) and I will try to see what I can do.
-
reporter @vrenjith Can you republish the plugin. The Version on the Marktplace dose not contain the current version of the javascript. It still has the corrupted version of 1.21.
-
reporter I've created
#41. -
This has now been resolved. @mentions now works.
Thanks to all for their help with this.
