Speed dial scale
Would it be possible to set the mph scale manually? I have an ADS-B feed coming in and it’s properly displaying the planes but they are all going much faster than 120 mph. It would be great to either change the scale based on the vehicle type or to be able to manually set the scale in settings.

reporter I have a thin PC running Linux in the attic with a rtf-sdr on the APRS freq fed into Direwolf. The computer also has a Flightaware sdr for ads-b. I’m using dump1090 and this Xastir script https://github.com/Xastir/Xastir/blob/master/scripts/ads-b.pl which converts the ads-b into UDP packets. These all feed into Xastir. QTH connects to Xastir as an aprs-is feed.

repo owner There really isn’t a mph “scale”. It sounds like either QTH isn’t parsing the incoming packets correctly, or the incoming packets are not correct. The next step would be to capture a few examples of packets that were sent by Xastir but not showing correctly in QTH.

reporter I think QTH is parsing them correctly. When I click on a plane, the speedometer pegs at 120 mph. It appears that most of the planes I see operate between 300 and 600 mph. I’ve included a couple example strings below. It would be cool that if a plane object is selected that the speedometer range could change to accommodate. Or some kind of setting/advanced setting where the top end of the speedometer range can be increased above 120 mph. I don’t think there is any kind of bug, I only offer this as a possible enhancement in a future version. Thanks!

Can you describe how the ADS-B feed is coming in? What APRS packet type is it using?
