Default Creation Space - not working as expected

Issue #31 resolved
Marcel Meerstetter created an issue

I am trying out the server version 3.3.2 and have set a space (e.g. “Development Space”) for “default creation space” (Glossary management → general → Dashboard)

Expected Behavior: When I am in another space, such as “Architecture Space”, and I select a word to create another entry in the Glossary, I expect this new term to be added to the Terms Page in the “Development Space”

Actual Behavior: The new term is created in the Terms Page of the space in which I selected the word from

If this is not a bug, then what exactly is the function of the “default space creation” setting?

    Hi Marcel,

    Many thanks for your notice.

Yes, it's a good idea to use default creation space globally. Actually, it's only used for the glossary dashboard.

Your request will be included on the next release.

    Many thanks for your collaboration.

    Best regards,

    Jennifer

Hi Marcel, For a technical limitation default glossary is only used for the glossary dashboard and now for term added from highlight text.

A new version of Glossary - Terminology Manager has been released! Version 4.0.0 is now available in the Atlassian Marketplace which resolves the issue.

    Best regards, Jennifer
