Sergi Almacellas Abellana created an issue 2021-05-11

Python2 support ended its support on 31st December 2020 so I do not think it makes sense to continue supporting it on newer versions.

Do you think we can remove the compatibilty code and have a new relase with just python3 support?
If yes, we may work on it.

I think this is really required as test now are broken for python2

Yes, I plan to remove python2 support, but I haven’t got the time yet to do it, so you are more than welcome to work on it. Thank you for all your patches.
