Ability to turn on/off metadata searching by folder

If I have not renamed a movie or series yet to fit the conventions, or I want my personal videos to be in the library too, or I record TV with a tuner card and want to watch it through Serviio it tries to find the closest matching title from the online databases and gets it wrong cluttering up the library. Can we have an option to turn off searching for metadata in certain folders so we can still play the videos in them via folder view, without them messing up the rest of our library?
