Android VLC 'Series' "directory is empty"

When using Android VLC and navigating to 'Series', all the TV Shows folders show "Directory is empty". Note that iPhone VLC works fine with Serviio, so might be an Android VLC issue, but note that Plex DLNA works fine with Android VLC. Note that 'Folders' works fine.

I've noticed this too. I suspected it was a problem with my cheap Amazon Fire tablet, but now I have an Android phone and it has the same issue. No idea how this hasn't been reported to the VLC devs considering the number of Android users.
