Serviio FIX MORE BUGS (Java)!

Issue #1186 new
Former user created an issue

Every time some update comes out I always hope for a fix ... but unfortunately it isn't! The same errors have been present for years! The first bug is that very often serviio does not process some photos and videos (photos and videos have no problems as they are opened correctly by any image / video player). Checking the logs I always notice the dcraw error that reports "unsupported file" (checking better, I noticed that some images are encoded in the RIFF format ... but in any case from a PC I can easily open these images!). Another problem relates to viewing many files in a folder (either via DLNA or via Mediabrowser). Whenever I open a folder containing more than 3000/4000 files, the "view" crashes and many Java errors are reported in the logs (I attached the file). And another VERY ANNOYING bug is when you want to insert a folder to IGNORE in the library (I have attached the settings in the picture). Needless to say, it is useless because even if I add the folders to be ignored, I still need to process them !!!.

Please solve it, because we can't take it anymore!

do you have some images that don’t work? attach them pls.

The fact that they open on your PC doesn’t mean they will work via DLNA / Media Browser.

For the Java crash case, is there anymore in the logs? Does this happen in MediaBrowser or DLNA?

It happens with both Mediabrowser and DLNA ... (sometimes even in server servers, during scanning operations!). There are two SERIOUS problems:

    1. When I open a folder with many files (photos) from both Mediabrowser and DLNA the display crashes. So if I try to scroll to the bottom of the photos and open one at random, trying to go forward or backward in the view it goes into CRASH!
    2. It is very annoying! I insert the folders that the service does not have to process (as shown in the first photo) but during the scan it processes them anyway!

Thanks, these logs don’t show anything related to what you describe.. perhaps you could capture (detailed) log of when you get the browsing crash?

For the ignored folder - that’s weird. Do you have a detailed log of a file that is added to one of your ignored folders, in that shared repository?
