Some thought needs to be given to how to handle links to folders. If you follow them, there could be recursive loops; Serviio would need to recognize an already-scanned folder (now found by a different path) and avoid processing it again. If this is not possible, then you should offer a way for the user to disable the following of the links. (This problem is not just limited to Windows shortcut files, of course; following any type of link to a folder could lead to recursion.)
