The Last FM crew and community (http://www.last.fm/community) has an open API (http://www.last.fm/api) for scrobbing (listing previously played tracks for a profile). There are several implementations for different media players on different platforms, as Linux, Win, OS X, iOS etc.

It would be nice to have the same feature for Serviio server after for instance configuring username and password in the Serviio console GUI.

BTW; started using Serviio from my laptop towards my PS 3 today and love it! :-)
