Online Thumbnail Problems
-
Thumnail URL space is greyed out on Beta 2 for Atom feeds.
-
Thumbnail cannot be changed once first one is entered for rtmp Live Feeds. I tried deleting the online feed and saving, then entering again with no thumbnail and saving (no icon displays then) and then deleting again and saving (the first icon should be gone by then) and finally adding again with the new thumbnail, but the original thumbnail continues to display, so it must be saved in the database and is not removed when the link is deleted and not reset when a new thumbnail is provided. It works fine for live http feeds. Here is the feed that will not reset: rtsp://85.25.236.14/cretetv1

repo owner 1. That's a feature - RSS/Atom feeds include thumbnails for each feed entry
2. I'll look into it, well spotted. -
Account Deleted re: RSS/Atom feeds... sure would be appropriate to be able to put feed logo icons in place of the folder icon for these...eg: BBC for iplayer..CNN for CNN, ABC for ABC etc...

repo owner that is not supported by serviio, maybe in future

Account Deleted REVISED POST: To distinguish online sites because the url is meaningless I use http://www.text2image.com to create a 200x150.jpg icon with 16 point text and save it in google for access by serviio eg: https://sites.google.com/site/jhbrsstest/GreekTV.jpg
Extensive testing shows the following:
http sites will display the thumbnail and they can be changed
rtsp sites will display thumbnail but it cannot be changed
rtmp sites and mmsh will not display thumbnails.

The problem is resolved... the jpg names are case sensitive so when Serviio tried to get cretetv.jpg which was stored in site.google as CRETETV.jpg the new icon could not be retreived. Renaming it in site.google to cretetv.jpg solved the problem. All sites now accept icons and their changes...tip is to keep everything in lower case.
