    If you're adding aac, could I request that libfaac is also a valid codec selection, which would depend on libfaac support being compiled into FFmpeg (it's non-GPL so unfortunately you can't distribute the binary). Could be useful for power users though.

    AAC was already available as MP4. Updated TuneIn plugin and added MP4 -> MP3 online audio stream transcoding to generic profile

    In the latest ffmpeg 1.0 version AAC encoding via libfdk-aac is supported. Is it this solution you choose ?
