Calibration Optimization progress bar does not show progress

Issue #92 resolved
Elizabeth Brainerd created an issue

50000 iterations takes quite some time on my computer — long enough that I get impatient and begin to think that maybe the software crashed. The progress bar on Mac does not show progress. Screen shot attached.

Also I ran it 4 times and it seemed to take just as long every time. Is to supposed to stop the iterations when it does not improve more?

Actually, the progress bar seems never to show progress on my Mac -- for undistortion, etc.

Hi Beth, I checked my OSX and the progressbar appears correct. What version of OSX are you running? And did you change the theme of OSX in any way?

fixes #92 : The progressbar now always shows a movement with a timer. Maybe it should be restricted to only certain OSX version on which the problem occurs

Don't worry. I was just curious. I now changed it that it always shows a progress on OSX, but it might be nice to know where the problem came from. Maybe it would be better to have it as an option in the Settings dialog for the people who have the problem. The "busy" indicator is actually better as it does not give the feeling that it will be done when the bar is full. We can talk about it in the next XUG.
