XMALab / Marker Status

##Marker Status##

XMALab stores the way how a marker was detected, the marker status. You can show the status for each marker in the points window when you enable the checkbox 'Show marker status'. When enabled colored boxes appear next to each point, which indicate the status in the current frame. The first box corresponds to camera 1, and the second box corresponds to camera 2 and so on.

The default legend for the colors is shown below. You can also access that legend in XMALab and change your prefered colors when you go to:

(Mac) XMALab -> Preferences -> Tracking -> Set marker status colors (button at the bottom) (Windows) View -> Settings -> Tracking -> Set marker status colors (button at the bottom)

In addition you can plot the status also in the Plotwindow when you click the checkbox 'Draw Status'. In this case the first row corresponds to the first camera, the second row to the second camera and so on.

The order of the marker status also corresponds to a hierarchy of how marked points are treated during tracking.
Manually tracked points are given highest priority, followed by points set in the main window. During automatic tracking, these two types are never overwritten as they are considered more accurate. When refining center of points with polynomial fit (see "Quality Control: Refinement of Marker Position" in the Table of Contents), the status will be elevated to its 'optimized' status.
