Resolution keeps resetting when accessing Visual Settings

OS: Win 7 64 bit

My ingame resolution keeps resetting to 720x480 @60Hz whenever I switch to the Visual Settings menu. My target resolution is 1680x1050 @59Hz.

Two monitors, both having a native resolution of 1680x1050.

I can confirm this, with two monitors at native 1920x1080. It also occurs whenever changing a setting other than resolution in the Visual Settings tab.

Then it seems to happen only to people that have more than one monitor attached. My dev PC has only one and the problem isn't reproducible there, but my work PC has two and the same problem is reproducible there.

It happened to me on my 1280x1024 monitor, at first it seemed to detect the monitor and use its native resolution then when later I went into the video options it did reset to 720x480 @60Hz and later only let me select 16:9 letterboxed resolutions. Only in my case it didn't seem to reset every time, just that first time when the game used the autodetected resolution.
