Better controller setup

Can you take a look at this, please? https://www.giantbomb.com/forums/star-wars-tie-fighter-40/guide-to-playing-x-wing-and-tie-fighter-on-a-contr-1498346/

That's the controls I use for playing TIE-Fighter. Maybe you can borrow some of the ideas there, like the part about 'while pressing left trigger' so we can use some buttons multiple times.

Hmmm.... perhabs some sort of control setup profile-system could be introduced to XWVM for easy sharing and switching of control setups.

If I remember the ReWired documentation correctly, I think it can be configured to allow setting control profiles depending on the controller - that is, XWVM might be able to shift control schemes based on the controller that the player is using.

About the 360 controller setup - I played through the first 7 campaigns of TIE Fighter using a similar setup, so it is certainly possible, at any rate.

That said, I still think radial menus are the way to go, because it allows for a greater number of possible options, and they can be logically grouped (e.g. weapons, shields, targeting, wingman commands) and displayed, which would also help VR play.

    From the ReWired documentation:

    Handling multi-button Actions

Rewired does not currently have a way to bind multiple Controller elements to a single Action except for keyboard modifier keys and indirectly through the use of Custom Controllers. To handle button combos, they should be handled in code based on your individual needs (timings, which needs to be pressed first, what cancels what out, etc). In these cases, it can help to think of it as if you're using Actions as buttons
