Camera control not working

I may have misunderstood how the control mapping options are intended in the binding screen, but it seems like the camera controls are not working

I tried both with a HAT switch and with the numpad keys, either by assignind the to the '12-3-6-9' positions and to the 'Look left/right - Look up/down' : the view does not change.

Also, the 'mouse free look' and the 'look at target' commands (again, tried as a stick button and as a keyboard command) seems to have no effect
