Linked fire behavior (unlinking to first default canon)
In the original, if you linked your laser or ion canons, and then unlinked them, it would default to the right hand #1 canon for Ywing and Awing. (for the x-wing, defaults to top right. for B-wing, it's the left most canon for both lasers and ions.)
In XWVM it remembers the last canon that was ready to fire.
Not a big deal, just an accuracy issue. The only time the mechanic was useful was in the maze, so you could control which canon would be the next to fire, useful if say the next gate had a turret on the right hand side.

reporter for Missiles and Torpedos it does remember the last fired one.
-
The x-wing firing order is also incorrect.
xwing98: top right, top left, bottom left, bottom right (counterclockwise)

reporter It might be ideal to resolve this issue in conjunction with issue
#1, as it also relates to unlinking, but warheads, and not lasers. -
Issue is resolved with X-Wings, not resolved with B-wings.
Current XWVM Behavior - laser defaults to center, and ion to right canon.
XW94 + 98 behavior - laser AND ion default to left canon. -
I’ve checked this issue with the latest version 20240815 and the only craft that still incorrect is the y-wing as it defaults to the left instead of the right

I agree with this. This is throwing me off when I switch between links. It's easier to remember that it would return to the first point (right hand cannon) than remember where it last was.
