Cannot transfer power from shield to cannons via semicolon key

When I press the " ' " key, power is transferred from cannons to shields. However, pressing " ; " does nothing, when the expected result is to transfer power from cannons.

Confirmed that the default key to transfer lasers to shields is "`" in XWVM. I suggest changing it to ";" like anon says. No other functions use ";" by default so there shouldn't be any issues.

Fixed this by setting the default keybind to the key that is the ";" in the American keyboard. The caption on the actual key depends on the keyboard locale, of course.

You will need to rebind the key since your local bindings override default ones. New players that start with the fixed build will not encounter this problem.
