Transition Direction Backwards

Moving forward in time (via arrow on the upper right-hand side) has a 'right' transition direction and moving backwards in time (via arrow on the upper left-hand side) has a 'left' transition direction. This is the opposite of what a user would expect and adds unnecessary confusion to the UX.
