Slider 1000 =========== Entry in PyWeek #5 <http://www.pyweek.org/5/> Team: zahmeKatzen-2 Members: ServalKatze, Zahmekoses DEPENDENCIES: You will need to install some of these before running the game: Python 2.5: http://www.python.org/ PyGame: 1.7 http://www.pygame.org/ The game was created using pygsear, but luckily pygsear is shipped with the game. Service! RUNNING THE GAME: No binary-packages yet. You need to have the dependencies installed. Just run the run_game.py. THE STORY: Neko-Chan is bored. Nothing exciting is going on and it seems this won't change for the rest of the day. But luckily, OneNeko-Chan has this imported sliding puzzle in her magical box of occupation! Help Neko-Chan and Oneneko-chan to master this colour-twisting board of time-consumption. HOW TO PLAY THE GAME: During the intro-sequence you can jump to the next image by pressing SPACE or just wait. Click the "Start Game" button on the start screen to start the game. Click the "Shut Down" button on the start screen to quit the game. The goal of each level is to twist and move the stones on the board, so it eventually equals the preview-image. You can move stones around by clicking on the stone you want to move, if it is next to the blank space. By using the "Twist"-button you can twist the selected stones into the preferred colour. Use the "Select"-button to change the number of selected stones. Please note that the selection is NOT freely moveable and will always stick in the upper left corner of the board. HOW THE GAME WAS CREATED: Theme voting started. We started brainstorming. We had wonderful ideas for all themes. Except one. TWISTED. So we had to come up with a better game idea on Sunday. Now, here it is. As the project leader from zK2 I am proud to present the "Slider 1000". These odd-looking twisted letters are Japanese, btw. ;) This was our 2nd Pyweek. Somehow I think we did better this time.
