Contact images are not displayed

After installing Conigri and setting up the contact list, I get shown some contact images - the ones stored on my phone (based on google contacts) are shown, but images that come via facebook are blank. The strange thing: the app seems to realize that there is an image stored because contacts without any image get this smiley-placeholder, the ones where a facebook image exists don't.

Aside from that: awesome app!

Thanks for reporting. Facebook don't allow third party apps to use the facebook contact images. So I can't show it in Conigri, sorry for that inconvenience.

But yes, in this case they have to show the smiley-placeholder as well.

Please activate the log and refresh it once or twice and then send me the an email from within Conigri (button: support e-mail), because there is no facebook implementation like you described, on stock Android phones and I can't reproduce it.

Hi, that was fast...

this is strange because on the S3 I was using the favorite contacts widget provided by samsung and it did display the fb profile fotos. This widget seems to be gone on the S4. Still: Conigri really does the trick.

Yes, and the miracle in this case is Samsung, its the manufacturer of this phone! Manufacturers have the rights to show it (another exception :-\ ), it's the same like on my old HTC with its own widget.

There are some tools to import images from facebook directly to your contacts. Maybe some of them keep your contact images synchronized, in case of anyone change his picture on facebook.

I don't want to implement this functionality, because it's a lot of stuff to do and not the main goal of Conigri, sorry...
